Participant Terms of Use

These Participant Terms of Use apply to anyone who takes part in an interview through Grepny at the invitation of their organization (the "Organization"). By starting an interview, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not start or continue the interview.

1. What Grepny Does. Grepny conducts AI-assisted interviews for the Organization to understand how work, roles, responsibilities, and decisions are organized. You will be interacting with an AI interviewer, and the analysis and report are produced automatically. No one at Grepny reads your responses to conduct the interview or prepare the report. A designated Grepny compliance officer may read a response only as described in Section 5 or where needed to comply with law or legal process, protect safety, or enforce these terms.

2. Taking Part. The Organization asks you to take part as part of your work; questions about whether you take part go to the Organization. You may decline, and the Organization sees whether you have started, finished, or declined the interview. You may skip a question or pause and continue later. Your responses are used for the study and cannot be withdrawn once given; they are deleted as described in the Participant Notice. The interview is in writing: you type your answers, and Grepny does not record audio or video.

3. How Your Responses Are Used. The Participant Notice explains what information Grepny collects, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. In short, Grepny processes your responses on behalf of the Organization to produce reports about how work is organized, and to operate and improve its services, as described in the Participant Notice. Grepny does not use your responses to train or fine-tune AI models.

4. Your Name May Appear in Reports. The interview helps the Organization understand how work is organized and where it gets stuck. It is not a performance review, and Grepny does not recommend hiring, firing, discipline, or other decisions about individuals. Reports may name you and other people and may attribute what you said to you where a finding needs it. Your responses are not anonymous or confidential toward the Organization. During the interview, the AI interviewer may also tell colleagues taking part in the same study, in its own words, what you said and that you said it, and ask how they see it. It does not share set-aside responses (Section 5), sensitive personal information, or anything you ask it not to share. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.

5. Not a Complaint or Emergency Channel. The interview is not a way to report harassment, discrimination, retaliation, safety concerns, or other misconduct, and no one monitors it while you answer. Use the Organization's reporting channels for these matters. In an emergency, call 911. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988. An automated screen sets aside responses that may describe these matters: they are not used by the AI interviewer or in any report, and Grepny does not notify the Organization about them. A designated Grepny compliance officer reads set-aside responses that may describe harm to a child, violence or a threat of violence, or another crime, only to decide whether the law requires or permits a report, and may report them to child protective services, law enforcement, or emergency services. The screen may not detect every such response.

6. Your Conduct. Do not share information you are not allowed to disclose, such as another company's confidential information; sensitive personal information about yourself or others, such as health information; or unlawful, threatening, or harassing content. Do not attempt to manipulate, disrupt, or misuse the interviewer or the service.

7. AI Limitations. Questions and summaries are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Where the service shows you a summary of your answers, please review it and correct anything that is wrong.

8. License. You grant Grepny and the Organization a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, analyze, and create derivative works from your responses for the purposes described in the Participant Notice.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the interview service is provided "as is," and Grepny will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable privacy or employment law that cannot be waived, or affects any right you have against the Organization.

10. Changes and Contact. Grepny may update these terms; the version shown when you start an interview applies to that interview. Questions may be sent to [privacy@grepny.com]. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Delaware], except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
